Little Sprig Farm: Master Herd Share Terms of Service

This Master Agreement is between Daniel Stanfield d/b/a Little Sprig Farm (“Farm,” “Agister,” or “Processor”) and the Owner (the “Member”). By maintaining an active subscription via our online platform, the Member agrees to these terms regarding their interest in the bovine or caprine herd located at 2950 County Road 55, Plainview, TX 79072.

1. Ownership & Buy-In
  • Buy-In Fee: Access to the herd requires a one-time, non-refundable buy-in fee of $35.00. This establishes the Member's undivided ownership interest in the herd.
  • Maintenance of Interest: Ownership interest is maintained through an active subscription.
  • No-Cost Buy-Back: Upon the cancellation of the Member’s subscription, the Farm shall buy back all shares from the Member at no cost ($0.00). Ownership reverts to the Farm immediately.
2. Standard Milk Shares (Base Subscription)

Members must maintain at least one "Standard Milk Share" to receive raw milk.

  • Bovine (Cow) Rate: $8.00 per weekly share (billed monthly).
  • Caprine (Goat) Rate: $10.00 per weekly share (billed monthly).
  • Yield: One (1) Standard Milk Share entitles the Member to one-half (1/2) gallon of raw milk per week.
3. Temporary Labor Shares (Additional Production)

Members may purchase Temporary Labor Shares in addition to their Standard Milk Shares.

  • Purpose: A Labor Share is an additional interest in the herd where the resulting milk yield is specifically allocated for processing by the Farm into value-added products (e.g., butter, yogurt, cheese).
  • Pricing: The cost of a Labor Share includes both the boarding fee for the additional animal interest and the labor fee for the processing. Prices are set by the Farm and billed as a recurring add-on.
  • Concurrent Distribution: Purchasing a Labor Share allows the Member to receive their regular raw milk allocation (from their Standard Share) plus the processed products (from their Labor Share) during the same pickup window.
  • Ownership: All raw milk and finished dairy products from these additional shares remain the sole property of the Member.
4. Pickup & Immediate Forfeiture
  • Designated Windows: All products must be picked up during the designated GoFarmhand window.
  • Immediate Forfeiture: To manage limited cold storage and food safety, any milk or processed products not picked up during the designated window are forfeited immediately. No credits, refunds, or "make-up" shares are permitted.
5. Glass Jar Program
  • Purchase: A one-time purchase of glass jars ($5.00/each) is required for milk shares.
  • Clean Exchange: Members must return a clean, dry jar at each pickup. Failure to return a clean jar will result in an immediate $5.00 fee charged to the Member's account via the platform.
6. Liability & Risk Assumption
  • Unpasteurized Product Notice: Member acknowledges that all herd products (milk and processed items) are unpasteurized. Member assumes all health risks for themselves and their guests.
  • No Resale: All products are for personal consumption only. Resale of raw milk or processed dairy products is a violation of Texas law and will result in immediate termination of all shares.
7. Termination & Non-Payment
  • Immediate Termination: If a subscription payment fails, the Farm may immediately terminate the agreement and cancel the Member's access to all production.
  • Reversion: Upon termination, all shares are bought back by the Farm at no cost ($0.00).
